The official opening of the Open Innovation Center in Turin was held on 15 October 2015, starting from 1:00 pm. The Councillor for Productive Activities and Tourism of Turin Municipality Domenico Mangone opened the meeting, together with the Councillor for Youth Policies of Turin Municipality Ilda Curti and theP resident of District 6 Nadia Conticelli. At 2:30 pm a workshop on new models of local entrepreneurial development took place with the intervention of the following speakers: the Intesa Sanpaolo Head Circular Economy MassimianoTellini, the Chairman of the Board Master Seed Community Nairobi Robinson Esialimba, the Thematic Pole Manager URBACT Programme Eddy Adams,and the Director RiSInnovación Social Medellin, Carolina Avila.
The next day, on 16 October 2015, an Open Day was organized for local stakeholders. At 10:00 am a meeting among 30 associations and entrepreneurs of the district took place.
