The OIS 2017 Staff would like to thank all the Speakers, Co-chairs and Participants who took part in the first edition of the Open Innovation Summit at Open Incet.
During the OIS, more than 40 speakers and international expert met to discuss with representatives of local and international istitutions about open innovation and smart cities.
Beyond the significant interest of many visitors during the public plenarie sessions, OIS 2017 provided an opportunity to create working groups on cities as engines of innovation and inclusive growth. These groups worked on enabling technologies, new skills and human capital, migration, science, culture and creativity, entrepreneurship development platform, open innovation hubs.
Talking about numbers: two days of work, 16 hour programme, more than 300 participants from about 12 countries and 10 cities (including Whashington, Boston, Barcelona), representatives of several institutions and international and national organizations, including European Commission, the Council of Regions, the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
During OIS 2017 there was also the opportunity to know and visit the 450 sq.m. tech demonstrator, where 22 innovative firms and startups from Italy and the European project Watify promoted by the European Commision, presented their solutions in the field of Smart City.
Among the partecipating firms, 10 startups were selected through an international call for solutions launched by Fondazione Brodolini.
The final award of the call for solutions, consisting of 5,000 euro and access to an acceleration period at FabriQ Milan, has been reserved by the jury to KRAP, from Bologna, which has proposed innovative areas monitoring sensors and instruments
