[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On 30th of January Open Incet hosted a delegation which came to Turin for the “Transatlantic Taskforce on Inclusive Economic Development. Addressing the intersection of jobs, skills, and pay in developing inclusive metropolitan economies” organised by the German Marshall Fund at the Collegio Carlo Alberto.
The objective of the meeting was to explore what cities can do to address the issue of stagnant wages (and to the end, precarious labor) through policy and practice. This fits into the GMF overarching objective of the convening in Torino and Cleveland to explore the intersection of developing jobs, the skills needed to meet those jobs with a focus on ensuring such jobs provide living wages.
During the visit at Open Incet the delegation could see how a former power cable factory has been converted into an Open Innovation Centre.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
